Landscape design and construction
have been an integral part of The English Lady family heritage for over
four hundred years beginning with the first terrace, water, ridge, and
formal gardens at Powys Castle in Wales in the 17th century. Today many
garden aficionados still consider Powys Castle to be Britain's finest
late seventeenth-century gardens. From there the family's talents
flourished into the landscapes manor houses throughout the whole of
northwest England. Many of the family's European gardens still exist
today as a living example of landscape expertise
The English Lady, LLC has been designing and building simple walkways to complete master plans eco-consciously in CT, RI, MA, NY since 1992. Maureen Haseley-Jones, lead designer for The English Lady (and yes she is English) put her first garden designs to paper when she was just a child living in England. Quickly it was realized by all that creating gardens, like her ancestors, was to be her life's calling as well.

Ian J. Sveilich,
partner, designer, and C.O.O. of The English Lady, LLC. Ian and his
conscientious team translate each inspiring design from paper to earth
insuring that the integrity and quality of the design is maintained.
The English Lady, LLC staffs experienced
designers, an architect and an award-winning draftsperson that provides
the client with hand-drafted blueprints.
The English Lady, LLC installs all
aspects of the exterior of a property. In addition to gardens, they
design and build custom stonework and woodwork, which includes fences,
decks, arbors, gazebos, cupolas and pergolas, historic restoration,
drainage solutions, driveways, landscape illumination, irrigation
systems, pool design, ponds, and other water features.
