A restored 1780’s Whaling Captain’s house in Stonington.  We maintained the integrity of this historical property with custom wrought iron work, a custom cupola, a gate with stained glass window enclosing the rear courtyard and a single pergola along the bluestone driveway.

The small rear garden called for an enclosed courtyard with clapboard fencing to match the house.  The antique trough with running water is a peaceful sound in this small oasis.  Bluestone walkways meander between miniature perennial borders.
The Haddonstone of England statutory features include arches that are the backdrop accent of the courtyard and an inquisitive stone owl perches on a stone pedestal surveying his domain.

Cedar trellises are planted with Ivy and Climbing Hydrangeas.  An antique iron gazebo planted with Honeysuckle is the outdoor sitting area tucked in the corner of the courtyard. Haddonstone urns filled with fragrant flora.
